Born in Breda, The Netherlands in the 1970‘s, Toshy is a talented pencil artist with a very special passion.  Encouraged by his family to pursue his talent, Toshy was taken to various museums in Paris and Amsterdam as a young boy.

During this time Toshy was inspired by icons such as Erwin Olaf, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons and Roy Lichtenstein.

Toshy is an artist who seduces climaxes, quotes and facts from the lives of well-known and also less known people from different countries around the world, combining them with a technically, recognizable and brilliant display of imagery. He has created a personal story with his art. 

His portraits, which he describes as "odes", show the depths that lie within people as individuals. Through his art, Toshy aims to trigger and inspire. He sees the world as a podium to display art as a communication form without limitations. Thus, each canvas he paints is personally signed with the motto, ‘The world is your stage.’ 

Toshy is a writer, a photographer, an illustrator, a painter... but above all he tells stories.
